Big Grumpy is going to help me keep the party alive today (in his true grumpy fashion, he didn’t want to cooperate so I had to bribe him a bit).

Here’s a look at the card and you can check out my process video to see how quickly it came together:

The front of the gatefold card came together quickly by inking the Backstory – Birthday background with a rainbow of mini ink cubes. I started with a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock sized 4″ x 5.25″ and after stamping the background, I cut the piece in half at 2″ to create two equally sized pieces for each gatefold flap. Once that was finished I colored Big Grumpy and assembled my belly band element to hold the gatefold card closed.

Here’s a look at the finished inside of my card with the cheeky sentiment reveal created with the help of the Gatefold Reveal die set. I added the Happy Birthday sentiment from friendly phrases and presents tone on tone presents from the Birthday Basics clear set to the bottom of the center reveal panel.
